Patient Privacy and Health Records

The provision of quality health care is our principal concern. This requires a doctor/patient relationship built on trust and confidentiality. Your doctor regards health information as confidential and will only collect this information with patient consent.

The Clinic manages all patient health information according to relevant State and Federal Legislation. Patients have the right to access their personal health information (medical record).

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. We abide by the ten National Privacy Principles available at www.privacy.gov.au/health/index

The National Privacy Commissioner is able to receive complaints concerning privacy issues. Complainants will receive a response within 28 days.
