Dr. Stephanie Wheble
Dr. Wheble completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Prior to that she also received a Diploma in Health Science from Massey University, New Zealand.
Originally from Wellington, New Zealand, Stephanie has made the move to Victoria to join the Foot and Ankle Clinic team. Stephanie is excited to join a supportive, experienced and innovative team of Podiatrists to help further her professional development, as well as having the opportunity to be part of a well-respected and diverse Podiatry Clinic.
Stephanie has recently become a member of the Australian Podiatry Association and Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. This will help to keep her informed in the development of the most current Podiatric practices and research, as well as help to provide patients with effective management plans.
Stephanie has previously worked in footwear and brings extensive knowledge of sports footwear and its impact on injury prevention and performance. She is very interested in the role of footwear in treatment and management, and is always happy to talk further about this.
During university studies Stephanie developed interest in paediatrics and this was promoted through a variety of placements. Through previous work, her own experience in sports, and university studies, Stephanie has developed an interest in Sports Podiatry and biomechanical changes. Within this, she has a special interest in injury predisposition and prevention. As a soccer player, Stephanie understands the importance of lower limb injury prevention and management along with the role this has in ensuring everyone can maintain their active lifestyle.
